I bought this horn for $200 in a pawnshop in 1982. It stayed in a closet most of the time until mid-1997, when I took it to Rich Ita for restoration (no valve work at that time). In June 1999 I took it back to Rich to have the valves rebuilt (he sent it to Anderson Plating). This horn has about a 0.460 bore and a large 5" bell. It produces a big, warm, sweet sound.
I have been told that Maurice Andre was the consulting artist for the design of this horn, and that the angled valves were his innovation.
